Carbonmasten sind immer Einzelanfertigungen und werden zur Erreichung der Vorteile von Carbon sehr aufwändig gerechnet und gefertigt. Um ein optimales Ergebnis zu erzielen, sind die aktuellen Basisdaten Ihrer Yacht besonders wichtig. Zur Berechnung des richtigen Mastprofils mit dem richtigen Gewicht nutzen sie bitte den Fragebogen zur Erfassung Ihrer Schiffsdaten und füllen diesen bitte möglichst vollständig aus. |

Design features Major advantages of "in-boom systems" over the "in-mast systems": The size and shape of the mainsail are not limited by in-boom systems, so you can enjoy all advantages of mainsail furling, with no Compromises in performance. Full length battens gives optimal shape and power. A unique feature of the FurlerBoom mast track construction is, that it correctly flattens and depowers the remaining mainsail, as reefs are taken. Full roach, even "multihull roach" is possible, as opposed to the hollow cut leaches at "in -mast systems". The mast weight is not increased. (The in-mast systems open-aft construction decreases the strength of the mast dramatically = section weight + approx. 60%) Mast track for "in-boom system" is lighter than the furling section in "in-mast system" Weight of mainsail is lowered as reefs are taken, whereas the main remains fully hoisted with "in-mast systems" FurlerBoom advantages over other in-boom mainsail furlers: FurlerBooms are fabricated from composite in a one-piece construction which enables us to vary the laminate in accordance to the loads calculated. |

These loads are mainly depending on righting moments and main sheet position. As a result, FurlerBoom are allways lighter than the furling booms made from s tandard aluminium extrusions. The FurlerBoom is far more tapered and sculptured. FurlerBooms Front fitted line drive device means that torque remains in mandrel when sailing with main in reefed condition. In addition, the front fitted line drive gives minimum friction as reefing lines runs direct to the stand-up blocks at deck. FurlerBooms continuos reefing line drive gives a constant power ratio whereas a drum type has a decreasing power ratio and risk of line jamming. |

The FurlerBoom mast track is flexible on the lower 4 m. (Patented) In this way the track can follow the boom and makes furling possible up to 80° apparent wind angle. This also treats the luff tape of the mainsail in a far more gentle way giving it a longer lifetime. In addition the curve of the lower part of the track flattens and correctly depowers the mainsail when reefs are taken. According to carbon mast builders, the FurlerBoom mast track is the best suitable track system for carbon masts. Greater safety at sea: Nobody needs to go on deck to hoist, reef, or secure the mainsail for harbour manoeuvres. Main halyard and endless reefing line led aft, allow easy and safe mainsail control. |
